Swapnil Jagtap is a Pune-based trader and indicator developer who has been active in Indian markets since 2016. Growing up in a family where his father and brother were already trading, the markets were never a mystery โ they were a daily conversation.
But one problem kept showing up, regardless of the setup or the timeframe: trading in sideways markets. The chart would look right, the setup would appear valid โ and then the market would simply go nowhere. For options traders, theta decay made it worse. Capital would bleed slowly, and by the time the problem was clear, the damage was already done.
